Job summary

Ridley’s Family Markets, Inc. in Utah is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the Pharmacist in daily pharmacy operations, provide patient counseling, and support prescription transfers and product dispensing.

You will ensure compliance with federal and state laws, participate in audits, maintain records for controlled substances, and help train other technicians while upholding high customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Must complete continuing education hours as required by law.
• Ability to readily adapt to changes in schedule specifications, and work priorities as the business and customer needs demand.
• Ability to cooperate with others and work as part of a team.
• Must complete all required state, federal and company training programs. (i.e., HIPAA, Methamphetamine, FWA, I-pledge, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions in compliance with laws and company policies; retrieve products, count, pour or measure, and affix labels.
• Respond to telephone requests from customers, physicians, and vendors within legal bounds.
• Communicate with peers, managers, physicians, and customers in a courteous, professional manner.
• Assist with monthly controlled substance (CII) audits.
• Understand procedures for billing, filling, and dispensing products.
• Maintain state and federal record keeping for controlled substances.
• Stock pharmacy product orders to bay locations.
• Help train other pharmacy technicians and comply with state training/licensure.
• Maintain inventory levels, rotate stock, and use RX return process.
