Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Tech II to assist pharmacists with filling, compounding and dispensing orders in our Alpharetta campus outpatient services. You will support production, distribution, inventory and patient care across neonate to geriatric populations.

This on-site role is 20 hours per week (two 10-hour days, 6:30 am–5:00 pm) with emphasis on accuracy, regulatory compliance and teamwork within a busy pharmacy environment.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia.
• One year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.

Responsibilities

• Assist Pharmacist in filling, compounding and dispensing physician orders.
• Provide patient care services to diverse age groups (neonate to geriatric).

Assists Pharmacist in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders. Performs various technical duties involved with the handling, packaging, and delivery of pharmaceuticals. The Pharmacy Tech II demonstrates proficiency to practice in two (2) or more specific pharmacy function areas (production/distribution, oncology, inventory management, narcotics, nursery, surgery, compounding and home care/outpatient). Provides patient care services to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

This pharmacy is on Northside/ Alpharetta Medical Campus and services an outpatient surgery center, an outpatient retail pharmacy, and outpatient imaging services.

The Pharmacy Tech will be working 20 hours/week (2x10hr days 6:30a-5p)

REQUIRED

1. Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia.
2. One (1) year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician

PREFERRED

1. Certified Pharmacy Technician through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
