Job summary

Northside Hospital in Atlanta is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to assist pharmacists in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders. You will perform technical duties in handling, packaging, and delivering pharmaceuticals, with opportunities to work across production, distribution, inventory, and other areas.

This role provides patient care across neonatal to geriatric populations, with a typical 8:00am to 4:30pm schedule, no weekend requirements, and no on-call duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Georgia Pharmacy Technician registration.
• One year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.

Responsibilities

Assists Pharmacist in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders. Performs various technical duties involved with the handling, packaging, and delivery of pharmaceuticals. The Pharmacy Tech II demonstrates proficiency to practice in two or more specific pharmacy function areas (production/distribution, oncology, inventory management, narcotics, nursery, surgery, compounding and home care/outpatient). Provides patient care services to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Qualifications

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia.
3. One (1) year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician

8am-4:30pm
