Job summary

Northside Hospital in Atlanta seeks a Pharmacy Technician II to assist the pharmacist in filling, compounding and dispensing physician orders, and to perform technical duties in packaging and delivery of pharmaceuticals.

The role provides patient care services across neonatal to geriatric populations and requires state registration and experience; preferred certification from PTCB or NHA.

Qualifications

  • Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia.
  • One year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Pharmacist in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders.
  • Perform various technical duties involved with handling, packaging, and delivery of pharmaceuticals.
  • Provide patient care services to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Assists Pharmacist in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders. Performs various technical duties involved with the handling, packaging, and delivery of pharmaceuticals. The Pharmacy Tech II demonstrates proficiency to practice in two (2) or more specific pharmacy function areas (production/distribution, oncology, inventory management, narcotics, nursery, surgery, compounding and home care/outpatient). Provides patient care services to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

REQUIRED
  1. Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia.
  2. One (1) year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
PREFERRED
  1. Certified Pharmacy Technician through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
