Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. in Alpharetta, GA is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to support pharmacists in filling, compounding and dispensing orders for outpatient services.

This 20-hour-per-week role requires Georgia registration and at least 1 year of technician experience; PTCB or NHA certification is preferred. Day shift 6:30a-5p and involvement across production, distribution, inventory and other areas offered.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia.
• One (1) year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Preferred: Certified Pharmacy Technician through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA).

Responsibilities

• Assists Pharmacist in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders.
• Performs various technical duties involved with the handling, packaging, and delivery of pharmaceuticals.
• Demonstrates proficiency to practice in two or more specific pharmacy function areas (production/distribution, oncology, inventory management, narcotics, nursery, surgery, compounding and home care/outpatient).
• Provides patient care services to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Provides patient care services to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

This pharmacy is on Northside/ Alpharetta Medical Campus and services an outpatient surgery center, an outpatient retail pharmacy, and outpatient imaging services.

Pharmacy Tech will be working 20 hours/week (2x10hr days 6:30a-5p)

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia.
• One (1) year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician

PREFERRED:

• Certified Pharmacy Technician through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
