Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services seeks a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to fill orders, pre-pack, and dispense medications under a pharmacist's supervision across inpatient and outpatient settings.

You will gain training in sterile product compounding for oncology and non-hazardous/ hazardous materials, with M-F day shifts plus occasional additional shifts. Competitive benefits and a strong wellbeing program are offered.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Pharmacy Technician certification in NM (PTCB or NHA).
  • State certification requirements met for New Mexico.

Responsibilities

  • Filling medication orders for inpatient and outpatient areas.
  • Non-sterile compounding, labeling and repackaging.
  • Handling non-sterile hazardous medications and waste disposal.
  • Maintaining records for controlled and non-controlled substances.
  • Delivering supplies to patient units and responding to questions.
  • Stock checks and reordering outdated items.
  • Ensuring compliance with Controlled Substances policies.

Under the supervision of a pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for filling medication orders, pre-packaging, compounding pharmaceuticals, refilling stock supplies, delivering medication, and performing various clerical duties as required.The chosen applicant will be trained to complete sterile products compounding for non-hazardous and hazardous compounding in our outpatient oncology pharmacies.
