Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support IV room prep, unit-dose dispensing, and medication deliveries. You will work in a fast-paced hospital pharmacy, performing aseptic techniques, labeling, and inventory management.

Requirements include MA Pharmacy Technician registration, 18+, English proficiency, math and computer skills, and PTCB certification within two testing cycles of starting. Shift: 2:30 PM–11:00 PM, rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to read, write and understand English at the 12th Grade level.
• Must have passed Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration exam.
• Must know basic IV admixture processes and sterile procedures.
• Good math, computer and communication skills.
• PTCB certification within 2 testing cycles of starting job.

Responsibilities

• Assist in irrigation, IV admixture and sterile prep using aseptic technique.
• Fill unit dose, ADM, stock requisitions; maintain inventory in OR, Endo & OB.
• Deliver meds and supplies to nursing units; assist with labeling and pre-packaged meds.
• Perform inventory control, cycle counts and look for expired meds.
• Clean pharmacy equipment, utensils and work areas.
