Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to support filling medication orders, pre-packaging, compounding, stock refills, and delivering medications under pharmacist supervision.

Role requires certification (PTCB or NHA), high school diploma, and relevant experience or training. Location Santa Fe, NM with full-time hours and varied shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician-PTCB or NHA.
• Specialized, short-term training in pharmacy law, practice standards, terminology, pharmacy math, drug preparation, dosage forms, and trade/generic names.
• Successful completion of PHS Sterile Products Compounding Competency.
• At least one year of experience in pharmacy or completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program.

Responsibilities

• Meets and demonstrates competency in all Pharmacy Technician I and II requirements.
• Completes required training and maintains competency in sterile/non-sterile preparation (sterile med prep; pediatric sterile and nonsterile prep).
• Manages controlled substance inventory, distribution, and disposal.
• Ensures compliance with the department's Controlled Substances Compliance Plan and performs other duties as assigned.

Summary

Presbyterian is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for filling medication orders, pre-packaging, compounding pharmaceuticals, refilling stock supplies, delivering medication, and performing various clerical duties as required.

This role is essential in supporting pharmacy operations and ensuring excellent service to our patients.
