Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque, NM seeks a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists with medication orders, pre-packaging and dispensing, stock management and clerical duties.

Under supervision, you will use Pyxis and other systems to ensure accurate preparation for inpatient and outpatient areas, maintain controlled-substance records, deliver supplies, and participate in a robust wellness and benefits program offered by Presbyterian.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Pharmacy Tech State of NM license.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician-PTCB or NM NHA certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs non-sterile medication ordering, preparation, and dispensing activities.
• Fills medication orders for inpatient and outpatient areas.
• Uses Pyxis, Pharmogistics, and CII safe.
• Non-sterile compounding, labeling and repackaging.
• Non-sterile unit dose packaging.
• Cart, tray, and kit preparation.
• Handling of non-sterile hazardous medications and proper waste disposal.
• Maintains records for controlled and non-controlled substances.
• Delivers supplies to patient units and ancillary areas.
• Answers telephone and responds to questions and problems.
• Checks stock and reorders outdated stock.

Summary:

Presbyterian is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for filling medication orders, pre-packaging, compounding pharmaceuticals, refilling stock supplies, delivering medication, and performing various clerical duties as required.
