Qualifikationen

• Completion of a pharmacy technician training program or 1 year equivalent experience.
• Registration as Pharmacy Technician Trainee or Pharmacy Technician through the PA State Board prior to start date.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) or ExCPT.

Aufgaben

• Processes medication orders including computer order entry, medication preparation and assembling items prior to pharmacist final check.
• Maintains pharmacy inventory and supplies according to policies and uses pharmacy computer systems.
• Provides customer service by taking prescriptions, documenting required information, handling interactions, and releasing medications.
• Outpatient Techs: validates insurance coverage and adjudication; handles cash and deposits.
• Inpatient Techs: prepares IV meds, compounds, stocks, batches, labeling and distribution.
• Other duties as assigned or requested.
