Job summary

University Hospitals is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to support pharmacists in inpatient, outpatient, medication history, and infusion areas. The role involves processing prescriptions, preparing medications, restocking ADCs, and ensuring accurate patient delivery under pharmacist supervision.

Qualified candidates will have a High School/GED, completion of an accredited technician program, and Ohio CPhT license; hospital experience is preferred. Sign-on bonus of $3,000 is offered.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required; accredited tech program preferred.
• Prior hospital or community pharmacy tech experience preferred.
• CPhT license in Ohio required.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with retrieval, processing, preparation and distribution of medications.
• Prepare sterile and non-sterile formulations per USP guidelines; aseptic technique.
• Restock ADCs and manage inventory to prevent stockouts.
• Process prescriptions including insurance adjudication and prior authorization when applicable.
• Support medication history collection and maintain PHI-compliant documentation.
