Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Albuquerque, NM. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, you will fill medication orders, pre-pack, perform non-sterile compounding, stock shelves, and deliver medications in a busy healthcare setting.

You will work with Pyxis and CII safety systems, maintain accurate records, and support controlled substances compliance. A high school diploma and NM certification are required for this role.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Pharmacy Technician NM certification (PTCB or NHA) required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs non-sterile medication ordering, preparation and dispensing activities.
  • Filling medication orders for inpatient and outpatient areas.
  • Use of Pyxis, Pharmogistics, CII safe.
  • Non-sterile compounding, labeling and repackaging.
  • Non-sterile unit dose packaging.
  • Cart, tray, and kit preparation.
  • Handling of non-sterile hazardous medications.
  • Maintains record-keeping for substances.
  • Delivers supplies to patient units.
  • Responds to questions and problems.
  • Checks stock and reorders outdated items.
  • Adherence to Compliance Plan for Controlled Substances.

Compensation Pay Range: Minimum Offer $18.33 Maximum Offer $30.24

Summary: Presbyterian is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for filling medication orders, pre-packaging, compounding pharmaceuticals, refilling stock supplies, delivering medication, and performing various clerical duties as required. Responsibilities
  • Performs all non-sterile medication ordering, preparation, and dispensing activities, including, but not limited to:
  • Filling medication orders for inpatient and outpatient areas of the facility
  • Use of pharmacy technology Pyxis, Pharmogistics, CII safe
  • Non-sterile compounding, labeling and repackaging.
  • Non-sterile unit dose packaging
  • Cart, tray, and kit preparation.
  • Handling of non-sterile hazardous medications
  • Proper waste or disposal
  • Maintains required record-keeping for controlled and non-controlled substances.
  • Delivers supplies to the patient unit and ancillary areas.
  • Answers telephone and responds to questions and problems.
  • Checks stock on a regular basis to identify and reorder outdated stock and ensures that stock is maintained in accordance with manufacturer requirements.
  • Responsible for adherence to the Department Compliance Plan for Controlled Substances.
  • Performs other functions as required or assigned.
