Job summary

Cook Children's Medical Center – Prosper seeks a Pharmacy Technician II to assist the pharmacist in providing professional services to patients and staff, with clerical duties such as answering phones and recording, filing, and reporting pharmacy activities under supervision.

The role requires competence in central PO, Omnicell processing, advanced sterile compounding, and compliance audits, plus math, metric system, chemistry, and medical terminology knowledge and strong telephone/oral

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.
• Minimum 1 year of CCMC pharmacy experience or 1 year of sterile compounding in a hospital setting.
• Basic knowledge of math, metric system, pharmaceutical chemistry and medical terminology.
• Good telephone skills and good oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in providing professional pharmacy services.
• Answer phones, record, file, and report pharmacy activities.
• Documentation of training on file and work under direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Competent in Central PO, Omnicell processing, advanced sterile compounding, and compliance audits.
