Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 20-hour ACPE accredited IV training course required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve inquiries and questions within the limits of the law with high independence from the supervising pharmacist or team leader.
• Coordinate daily workflow in assigned area.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and readiness for inspections.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain sterile compounding areas.
• Document compounding, cleaning, testing, and equipment certification.
• Operate specialty machinery and equipment (e.g., baxa pumps, dispense prep and check).
• Understand sterility testing systems, USP compounding standards, and state board rules for sterile and hazardous compounding.
• Assist in ordering, managing, and monitoring drug inventory with PAR level awareness.
• Teach and mentor Pharmacy Technicians, Pharmacists, and students.
• Maintain competency to perform in at least two other operation areas.
• Compound, package, and label sterile hazardous and chemotherapy preparations per USP.
