The role requires an active license and pharmacy certification, a HS diploma or equivalent, and at least 2 years of pharmacy experience.

Qualifications

• Active professional license required.
• State or national pharmacy technician certification as applicable.
• H.S. diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of pharmacy experience.

Responsibilities

• Verifies member information and inputs data for the pharmacists.
• Serves as mentor for less experienced staff.
• Represents the department in intra-departmental initiatives.
• Assists in formal training of associates and process improvement initiatives.
• Conducts reviews using scripted algorithms in compliance with guidelines.
• Develops partnerships with physicians, healthcare providers, and customers.
• Consults with clinical reviewers.
• Refers treatment plans to peer clinical reviewers according to guidelines.
