Job summary

Elevance Health's BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to support complex benefits and collaboration with providers. This hybrid role requires in-office presence 1–2 days weekly and offers structured scheduling with evenings or shifts in EST.

You will verify member information, mentor staff, participate in training, and liaise with clinicians and physicians to ensure accurate benefit administration and high-quality member service.

Qualifications

• Active state pharmacy technician license or national certification as required by state(s).
• HS diploma or equivalent with minimum 2 years of pharmacy experience.
• Pharmacy specialty experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represents the department on intra-departmental initiatives.

Location: Hybrid 1 - This role requires associates to be in-office 1 - 2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. Work Shift: Monday – Friday, 10:30 am to 7:00 pm during Eastern Standard Time .

The Pharmacy Technician II (BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy) is responsible for partnering with healthcare providers on complex elements and benefit plans to ensure appropriate and consistent administration of benefits.

How you will make an impact:

• Verifies member information and inputs data for the pharmacists.

Minimum Requirements:

• Requires an active, professional license, State Pharmacy Technician Certification or National Certification based on applicable state(s) requirements, to practice as a Pharmacy Technician within the scope of practice in a state or territory of the United States.

• Requires H.S. diploma or equivalent and minimum of 2 years of pharmacy experience ; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

• Specialty Pharmacy Experience preferred.

For candidates working in person or virtually in the below locations, the pay* range for this specific position is $21.20/hr. to $33.24/hr.

Location(s): California, Colorado.
