Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s Burnet Campus in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician to support inpatient operations. The role rotates across key units, working closely with pharmacists and care teams to ensure accurate medication preparation and delivery.

Coordinate with clinical staff, maintain shelves and cabinets, and participate in sterile and non-sterile compounding. Part-time schedule includes 1st and 2nd shifts, 20 hours weekly, and a 0.5 FTE presence.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of pharmacy technician experience.
• Licensed as a pharmacy technician in Ohio.
• Certification as pharmacy technician (or ability to obtain within 18 months).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Detail-oriented, team-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through key areas of the inpatient pharmacy and work with pharmacists and clinical teams.
• Prepare and distribute medications accurately and efficiently.
• Support medication delivery for patient-specific doses across units.
• Replenish automated dispensing cabinets and maintain inventory.
• Compound sterile and non-sterile medications and collaborate with teams to ensure quality and safety.

PHARMACY TECHNICIAN

Units:

Main Pharmacy, Operating Room & Critical Care Pharmacy

Schedule:

Rotate on 1st & 2nd shift, Part-time, 2-3 shifts per week with every other weekend

Pay:

$21.50-$24.62 + $2.00/hour shift and $1.00/hour weekend differential

What you’ll do (what your day really looks like)

You’ll rotate through key areas of the inpatient pharmacy, working closely with pharmacists and clinical teams to:

How To Qualify For This Job
