Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the VMG Clinic Pharmacy on Main Campus. The role involves sterile and non-sterile compounding, Omnicell inventory management, medication purchasing, and medication delivery in a day shift (Mon-Fri, 7:00am–3:30pm) with flexibility as needed.

The position emphasizes patient service, adherence to policies, and collaboration with Pharmacists and Pharmacy Managers in a health system renowned for medical education and patient care.

Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician credentials (as applicable).
• Tennessee Pharmacy Technician license or certification requirements.
• Graduate of an approved discipline specific program.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in the preparation, dispensing and/or distribution of medications.
• Apply departmental processes regarding inventory control.
• Perform activities as directed by Pharmacists and/or Pharmacy Managers in accordance with laws, regulations and hospital policies.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.
• Operate computer systems and utilize pharmacy technology.
