Job summary

Vanderbilt Health TVC Outpatient Pharmacy seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in preparing, dispensing and distributing medications across retail, transplant, specialty and mail-order service lines.

You will manage inventory, assist customers, and operate pharmacy computer systems under direct supervision. The role offers weekday hours with no weekend work in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills to support medication-use processes.
• Fundamental proficiency to review, prepare, dispense and distribute medications.
• Knowledge of rules and regulations related to pharmacy operations and quality assurance.
• Ability to maintain inventory levels and manage drug records.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in the preparation, dispensing and distribution of medications.
• Apply departmental processes regarding inventory control.
• Perform tasks as directed by Pharmacists and Pharmacy Managers in line with laws and hospital policies.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.
• Operate computer systems and use technology to support processes.
• Other duties as assigned.
