Job summary

Stormont Vail Health in Junction City, KS is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician to assist under a pharmacist's supervision. You will help prepare medications for dispensing, support clinical pharmacy operations, and serve patients from birth to death.

Responsibilities include using dispensing and bar coding tech, delivering patient orders, checking outdates, and assisting with sterile and non-sterile compounding, emergency kits, and crash cart procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED required.
• Minimum 1 year pharmacy technician or healthcare experience preferred.
• Registration with Kansas Board of Pharmacy prior to first day of work required.
• National Technician Certification prior to first renewal and maintained continuously required.

Responsibilities

• Properly use dispensing and bar coding technology to ensure accurate medication selection, stocking and order fulfillment for all inpatient and clinic orders, batch fills and automated re-stocks.
• Deliver patient specific orders and automated dispensing cabinet fills and return medications to stock.
• Check medication outdates monthly for any assigned areas.
• Compound sterile and non-sterile products in accordance with level of training and experience.
• Manage emergency medication kits such as RSI kits and crash cart trays following department procedure.
