Job summary

Meijer Pharmacy in Ohio is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join our family-focused team. You will fill prescriptions accurately, educate patients, and maintain strong relationships with customers and staff while upholding Meijer policies and state/federal laws.

As a key operations lead, you will mentor technicians, oversee daily pharmacy activities, and provide clinical services such as immunizations where allowed. A strong patient-care orientation and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Registered and licensed in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana)
• Retail/Community Practice.
• Working knowledge of pharmacy system, policies and procedures, and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members, and leadership.
• Hold pharmacy technicians accountable for results and help grow the pharmacy business.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivate team members to perform to their highest level.
• Be knowledgeable of Meijer Policies and Procedures as well as state and federal laws.
• Communicate effectively and be an agent of change.
• Maintain excellent organization and prioritize workload.
• Listen to patients and resolve their needs in customer service.
• In the absence of the pharmacist in charge, oversee pharmacy operations.
• Perform and oversee clinical services, including immunizations.
