Job summary

ArtesRx is seeking a Pharmacy Support Specialist to obtain and process prescriptions, preparing the fulfillment team to dispense and ship medications. You will communicate with patients, facilities, payors, and prescribers, enter data, and handle prior authorizations within policy guidelines.

The role requires active pharmacy technician licensure and at least one year of pharmacy experience, with strong MS Office and pharmacy application skills.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a highly effective communicator with internal and external customers.
• Demonstrated ability to model superior customer service with patients and staff.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and pharmacy applications.
• Experience handling claim rejections and prior authorization processes.
• Able to work independently or in a team with attention to detail.
• Track and monitor workflows to ensure timely medication delivery.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, medication names, and pharmacy sig codes.

Responsibilities

• Communicate by phone and email with patients, facilities, payors, and prescribers.
• Enter prescription information and submit claims for payment.
• Manage patient profiles and coordinate billing for dispensed medications.
• Assist in prior authorization and benefits investigation for third party billing.
• Contact facilities, prescribers, and patients to arrange medication deliveries.
• Support dispensing and packaging as needed and monitor incoming faxes.
• Maintain knowledge of pharmacy metrics and adhere to standards and regulations.
