Job summary

Encompass Health Corporation seeks a Pharmacy Supervisor to oversee department operations in the absence of the Director of Pharmacy. You will support adherence to regulations, lead staff, and act as a resource for clinical and operational pharmacy activities within the hospital.

Responsibilities include educating staff, monitoring usage and costs, ensuring medication availability, and coordinating compounding and IV preparation within policy.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree from a US-accredited program or internationally equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Licensed in good standing by the State Pharmacy Board.

Responsibilities

• Provide staff and hospital education regarding pharmaceutical care and medication management.
• Monitor pharmaceutical usage, costs, and patient outcomes; identify improvement opportunities.
• Procure medications and supplies from cost-effective sources.
• Oversee scheduling, staffing, and processes for medication management and procurement.
• Communicate with the Director of Pharmacy about departmental needs and issues.
• Utilize the EHR to perform clinical and operational pharmacy tasks.
