Job summary

Blue Shield of California is seeking a Strategic Planning & Performance Principal to oversee annual planning, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and the Pharmacy program strategy. You will partner with senior leaders and external stakeholders to drive execution and value across initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Requires 10 years of prior relevant experience.
• In-depth knowledge of pharmacy operations.
• Mastery of Strategic Planning and Performance through advanced education and experience.
• Healthcare services or payer operations experience is strongly preferred.
• Deep knowledge of project management.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and executive communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed environment.
• Ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the annual strategic planning process and align the Pharmacy program with organizational goals.
• Collaborate with senior leaders, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders to advance strategic objectives and operational excellence.
• Lead and oversee complex, cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed environment.
• Communicate effectively with executives and translate strategy into actionable plans.
• Support development of performance metrics and monitoring to drive results.
