Job summary

• Participates in pharmacy purchasing, pharmacy automation, sterile compounding, or validates QA for other technicians.
• Handles administrative duties as part of the department: pharmacy-related activities.

Pay Range:

$20.00 - $29.00

A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.

Under the direct supervision of the registered pharmacist, and according to state and federal laws, performs a variety of tasks according to policies and procedures. In addition, the colleague will perform administrative duties in one of the following areas: pharmacy purchasing, pharmacy automation, sterile compounding; or performs advanced technician functions such as validating quality assurance for other technicians.

Education

• Illinois: At least 16 years of age and is attending or graduated from high school or GED equivalency is required.
• Wisconsin: At least 18 years of age and has graduated from high school or GED equivalency is required or enrolled in an approved youth apprenticeship program approved by the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development.

Experience

• 3 years pharmacy experience is required.

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations

• Licensed or registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of practice is required.
• IL: May work in a license pending status for up to 60 days.
• WI: May work in a license pending status until registration is approved.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician certification must be achieved within 12 months of hire OR enrolled in a Doctorate of Pharmacy program is required.
