Weis Markets is seeking a Pharmacy Service Representative to ensure prompt service in the Pharmacy Department. The role involves computer entry of prescription data, patient and prescriber searches, insurance billing, and processing new and refill prescriptions per state law.

Responsibilities include retrieving medications, labeling and packaging prescriptions, maintaining a clean department, and supporting inventory management and compounding tasks where permitted.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; plus 600 practical hours in retail and/or pharmacy operations.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsabilités

• Perform all functions and duties of a Pharmacy Service Representative to ensure prompt service in the Pharmacy Department.
• Enter prescription information into computer systems, including patient and prescriber searches, drug selection, and insurance billing.
• Process new and refill prescriptions and obtain refill authorization where permitted by state law.
• Retrieve medications from inventory as permitted by state law and label containers.
• Place medication into prescription containers and generate related paperwork.
• Maintain tidy pharmacy area and support inventory management, including restocking and physical counts.
• Assist in inventory processes such as order review, returns, and restocking shelves.
• Reconstitute oral liquids where state law permits.

Formation
