Weis Markets in the United States is hiring a Pharmacy Service Representative to support the Pharmacy Department with prompt service and accurate prescription processing. You will perform computer entry, patient and prescriber searches, drug selection, and insurance billing to ensure smooth operations.

The role includes retrieving medications, creating labels, preparing prescriptions, maintaining departmental order, and assisting in inventory and inventory reconciliation activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have 600 practical hours in retail and/or pharmacy operations.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.

Responsabilités

• Perform all functions of a Pharmacy Service Representative to ensure prompt service in the Pharmacy Department.
• Enter prescription information, patient and prescriber searches, drug selection, and insurance billing.
• Process new and refill prescriptions, including refill authorizations where permitted by state law.
• Retrieve medications from inventory and create/attach prescription labels.
• Place medication into containers and complete related paperwork in the computer system.
• Maintain the Pharmacy department: keep it clean and orderly.
• Assist in inventory processes including order review, returns, restocking, and physical inventory prep.
• Reconstitute oral liquids where state law allows.
