Responsibilities

• Perform all functions of a Pharmacy Service Representative to ensure prompt service in the Pharmacy Department.
• Enter prescription information into computer systems, including patient and prescriber searches, drug selection, and insurance billing.
• Process new and refill prescriptions, including obtaining refill authorization from doctors when permitted by state law.
• Retrieve medications from inventory and prepare prescription labels under state law.
• Label and package medications for dispensing in compliance with regulations.
• Maintain pharmacy cleanliness and organization; support inventory management and restocking.
• Reconstitute oral liquids where permitted by state law.
