Job summary

Weis Markets is seeking a Pharmacy Service Representative to support the Pharmacy Department with prompt, accurate prescription processing and customer service.

You will enter prescription data, perform insurance billing, prepare labels, retrieve medications, and assist with inventory and department upkeep.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 600 practical hours working in retail and/or pharmacy operations.
• Experience with prescription processing and insurance billing.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail pharmacy and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt service in the Pharmacy Department.
• Perform prescription data entry and patient search.
• Process new and refill prescriptions and obtain doctor authorization when required.
• Retrieve medications from inventory and prepare labels.
• Place medications into containers and ensure proper labeling.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Pharmacy.
• Assist with inventory management and physical inventory prep.
• Assist in reconstituting oral liquids where permitted.
