Responsibilities

• Perform all functions of a Pharmacy Service Representative to ensure prompt service in the Pharmacy Department.
• Enter prescription information into the computer system including patient, prescriber, drug, insurance, and basic problem resolution.
• Process new and refill prescriptions with required information and authorization.
• Retrieve medications from inventory as allowed by state law.
• Create prescription labels and place them on containers as allowed by state law.
• Place medications into containers and complete paperwork related to filling prescriptions.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the Pharmacy department.
• Assist in inventory management including order reviews, returns, restocking, and physical inventory prep.
• Reconstitute oral liquids where permitted by state law.
