Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 600 hours in retail and/or pharmacy operations.
• Ability to enter prescription information accurately and efficiently.
• Understanding of insurance billing and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform Pharmacy Service Representative duties to ensure prompt service in the Pharmacy Department.
• Enter prescription information, search patient and prescriber data, and handle insurance billing.
• Process new and refill prescription information with appropriate approvals.
• Retrieve medications from inventory and label/dispense as required by state law.
• Maintain paperwork and input data into computer systems.
• Keep the Pharmacy area clean and organized.
• Assist in inventory management including order reviews and restocking.
• Reconstitute oral liquids when allowed by state law.
