Required Related Experience: 1 yr
Required License/Registration/Certification: Nationally certified Pharmacy Technician by either PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT); Registered with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.
Physical Requirements: This position requires use of a computer workstation, completion of tasks with repetitive motions, and occasional pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds. PPE may be required to reduce exposure to hazards.
Shift: First shift; 7on/7off 10-hour shifts. Weekend and holiday requirements per departmental need.
Job Summary: The Pharmacy Senior Technician assists pharmacists in providing medications to ICU patients by compounding sterile and non-sterile products, participating in pharmaceutical care, and distributing medications from the ICU pharmacy satellite, adhering to safety protocols and USP 797 standards.
This position is eligible for a recruitment bonus. The starting pay has recently been adjusted to a minimum of $18.50/hour, based on experience.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities: Dependability, ability to prioritize, reliability, and attention to detail are essential.
Supervisory Responsibilities: No
Preferred Education/Experience: Associate or bachelor’s degree and hospital and/or retail pharmacy technician experience preferred.
