Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Technician to support pharmacy inventory by processing deliveries, counting stock, returns, and ensuring availability for production. The position involves light-to-moderate physical work, working in a regulated environment, and requires the ability to learn inventory systems and SOPs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent capability.
• Ability to learn and follow pharmacy/inventory SOPs, safety requirements, and documentation standards.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, reliability, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to use or learn basic computer, inventory, and workflow systems.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the assigned work.
• Preferred: prior pharmacy, healthcare, warehouse, receiving, inventory, production, or regulated-environment experience.
• 1–3 years of pharmacy operations, inventory, receiving, warehouse, or comparable experience; pharmacy technician credential if useful to the assignment.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming deliveries and distribute medications/supplies appropriately.
• Complete assigned inventory counts/recounts and support accurate stock records.
• Process medication returns so eligible product returns to usable inventory promptly.
• Follow proper storage, handling, quality, safety, and disposal procedures.
• Support inventory control, stock availability, and production readiness.
• Assist qualified production activities such as non-DOSIS pre-pack work when assigned/permitted.
• Follow pharmacy SOPs and requirements relevant to inventory handling.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate inventory issues or discrepancies.
