Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is hiring a pharmacy support associate in Los Angeles in a part-time capacity. The role involves in-person and telephone reception, processing prescriptions, and assisting with clerical tasks within a busy pharmacy environment.

You will handle cash transactions, ensure accurate data entry into the PIMS system, and support pharmacists with daily operations to maintain efficient service for members.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and telephone reception skills (clear and courteous handling of callers).
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to read, understand and transcribe pharmaceutical information.
• Demonstrated mathematical skills (basic arithmetic).
• MUST PASS BACKGROUND CHECK.
• Ability to lift/transport 1–50 lbs.
• Light to moderate carrying, pulling, pushing, walking and frequent bending, stooping and reaching.

Responsibilities

• Provides in-person and telephone reception to patients.
• Receives new prescriptions and verifies entry for processing.
• Enters required information into the pharmacy system (PIMS).
• Processes prescription refill requests and coordinates with providers.
• Maintains cash handling and records transactions at the register.
• Assists with clerical tasks and organizes the work area.
