Job summary

Inova Retail and Specialty Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Quality and Compliance Specialist to join the team. This full-time, day-shift role is hybrid in Chantilly, VA, offering a pathway to ensure compliance with accrediting bodies and pharmacy policies.

You will maintain data systems, conduct internal audits, and support payer and regulatory requirements while collaborating with cross-functional teams. A pharmacy technician background with VA licensure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in related field or relevant experience in lieu of degree equivalent to 4 years.
• Three (3) years' experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Virginia.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician - PTCB or NHA (ExCPT). Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Ensures data compliance with accrediting and governing bodies including URAC, ACHC, USP, and others.
• Maintains electronic monitoring and reporting systems and analyzes data from multiple sources to produce reports.
• Performs internal quality audits and implements corrective/preventive actions.
• Maintains knowledge of payer requirements, accreditation standards and pharmacy policies.

Pharmacy Quality and Compliance Specialist J ob Responsibilities:

• Ensures data compliance with Utilization Review Accreditation Commission, Accreditation Commission for Health Care, United States Pharmacopeia and any other accrediting or governing body requirements.
• Maintains electronic monitoring and reporting systems to capture accurate data and prepares and analyzes data from a variety of sources to produce actionable and needed reports.
• Performs internal quality audits and develops and implements corrective or preventative action plans when appropriate.
• Maintains comprehensive knowledge pertaining to payer requirements, accreditation requirements and pharmacy policies & procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor degree in related field (or relevant experience in lieu of degree equivalent to 4 years).
• Experience: Three (3) years' experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Licensure: Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Virginia.
• Certification: Certified Pharmacy Technician - PTCB or NHA (ExCPT). Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience: Data analytics / Microsoft Excel proficiency.
