Job summary

Inova Health System in Chantilly, VA, is seeking a Pharmacy Quality and Compliance Specialist to join our Retail and Specialty Pharmacy team. This full-time role offers a day shift with hybrid work, support for data integrity, audits, and adherence to accrediting standards.

You will monitor payer and accreditation requirements, perform internal audits, and collaborate with pharmacy operations to ensure compliant policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in related field (or relevant experience in lieu of degree equivalent to 4 years).
• Three (3) years’ experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Virginia.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician – PTCB or NHA (ExCPT). Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Ensures data compliance with Utilization Review Accreditation Commission, Accreditation Commission for Health Care, United States Pharmacopeia and any other accrediting or governing body requirements.
• Maintains electronic monitoring and reporting systems to capture accurate data and prepares and analyzes data from a variety of sources to produce actionable and needed reports.
• Performs internal quality audits and develops and implements corrective or preventative action plans when appropriate.
• Maintains comprehensive knowledge pertaining to payer requirements, accreditation requirements and pharmacy policies & procedures.
