Job summary

BrightSpring Health Services in Uniondale, NY is seeking a Purchasing Supervisor to lead the Purchasing team, optimize inventory, and drive cost-saving initiatives. The role requires LTC pharmacy experience and strong Excel/OPs skills. This full-time position offers a Monday–Friday schedule and compensation aligned with market ranges.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3+ years' LTC pharmacy experience; 2+ years in LTC purchasing preferred.
• Advanced understanding of pharmacy procurement and inventory.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong workflow and performance management and scheduling skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and supervises all Purchasing department staff and operations.
• Manages physical inventory counts and reconciles metrics with corporate Purchasing/Accounting.
• Maintains inventory min/max levels, forecasting and purchasing from wholesalers/warehouse.
• Works with backordered drugs for substitution or procurement within another pharmacy.
• Resolves issues related to purchasing from internal and external customers.
• Manages vendor relations and oversees non-pharmacy purchasing for operations.
