Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is seeking a Pharmacy Buyer to manage daily procurement, purchasing, and inventory for the health system’s Pharmacy departments. The role ensures a steady supply of pharmaceuticals and related services to support patient care.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in hospital or retail supply chain, strong Excel and EMR/ERP experience, and a high school diploma with on-the-job procurement training. The position offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with on-the-job training in procurement and inventory management.
• Eligible for applicable state Board of Pharmacy registration.
• 2 years of experience in hospital or retail supply chain, purchasing, or pharmacy purchasing/inventory management.
• Proficiency with Excel and pharmacy ERP/EMR platforms.

Responsibilities

• Oversees procurement, ordering, receipt, storage, and maintenance of pharmaceuticals and supplies.
• Coordinates daily with Pharmacy procurement staff and manages invoices and records.
• Maintains par levels and maximizes turns; validates pricing against contracts.
• Ensures compliance with regulations for controlled substances and 340B/DSCSA requirements.
• Collaborates with Supply Chain and Pharmacy leadership to address shortages and cost opportunities.
