Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a diligent Pharmacy Procurement Agent to manage pharmaceutical purchasing for the PHS system. You will ensure stock, verify contracts, and furnish monthly financial reports to pharmacy administration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Pharmacy Technician NM license required.
• PTCB certification required.
• NHA certification preferred.
• Minimum of three years in pharmacy purchasing.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adequate stock of pharmaceuticals.
• Serve as supplier and purchasing consultant for the pharmacy distribution center.
• Ensure contract compliance and correct pricing for all purchases.
• Provide monthly financial, purchasing, and issue reports to pharmacy administration.
• Interact with pharmaceutical representatives to maintain service levels.
• Research short-supply items and obtain emergency pharmaceuticals when needed.
• Communicate with pharmacy staff on availability of pharmaceuticals.
• Process drug recalls and check stock for recalled items.
• Adhere to the Department Compliance Plan for Controlled Substances.
• Review wholesaler invoices and coordinate with Accounts Payable.
• Support Pyxis usage and configurations for four ER/urgent care locations.
• Assist staff with medication delivery workflows and site stock reviews.
• Manage flu vaccine distribution logistics.
