RPC Company is seeking a detail-oriented Prior Authorization Specialist – Pharmacy Technician to support patients, providers, and insurance partners through the medication prior authorization process, ensuring timely access to prescribed medications and accurate documentation.

The ideal candidate is organized, patient-focused, and capable of managing multiple requests, communicating clearly with patients and payers, and helping to improve workflow efficiency in a fast-paced healthcare

Qualifications

• Knowledge of pharmaceuticals and medical terminology.
• Understanding of the prior authorization process and payer requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients, providers, and insurers.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple requests and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance and Process Improvement: Participate in QA initiatives; provide feedback to optimize the workflow and stay updated on policies.
• KPIs responsibilities; monitor patient turnaround time and other metrics.
• Other assigned duties related to prior authorizations.
