Job summary

Highmark Health, during Allegheny Health Network operations, seeks a Pharmacy leadership professional to guide the department and coordinate clinical pharmacy services. The role supports the Pharmacy Manager and Director, ensuring quality, compliance, and efficient drug distribution.

Qualified candidates will have a PharmD or B.Pharm, PA/NY licensure eligibility, and 3+ years of pharmacy experience or an admin residency. Leadership and budgeting experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist license in PA and/or NY within 120 days of hire.
• 3 years pharmacy experience or completion of a 2-year admin residency.
• Pharmacy residency and/or advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day pharmacy services including drug distribution and education.
• Coordinate patient care services with nurses and physicians.
• Develop and enforce hospital policies; participate in performance improvement.
• Oversee staffing, schedules, and staff development.
• Monitor controlled substance handling and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with budgeting and cost-control measures.
• Perform staff pharmacist duties as needed.
