Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks a Pharmacy Practice Supervisor to provide leadership and direction for pharmacy services on-site. The role includes supervising staff, ensuring safe drug distribution, and coordinating patient care with clinicians.

Ideal candidates hold a PharmD or PharmD-equivalent, are licensed or eligible in PA/NY, and have 3 years of pharmacy experience or completion of a 2-year administrative residency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD).
• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Pharmacist in PA and/or NY within 120 days of hire.
• 3 years pharmacy experience required or completion of a 2-year administrative pharmacy residency.

Responsibilities

• Supervises day-to-day pharmacy services and staff to ensure safe drug distribution and quality patient care.
• Coordinates with nurses and physicians to resolve clinical and distribution issues.
• Assists in policy development, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Manages staff schedules, staffing decisions, and performance feedback.
• Monitors controlled substance handling and regulatory reporting; supports budgetary targets.
