Job summary

The Kroger Co. in California is seeking a Pharmacist to deliver outstanding customer service in a busy pharmacy. You will fill prescriptions with precision, administer vaccines as needed, and counsel patients on pharmaceutical care while ensuring HIPAA compliance and legal standards.

You will maintain inventory, meet safety and dress standards, monitor the trade area, and support a professional, clean pharmacy environment for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy is required.
• Current state pharmacist licensure in good standing is required.
• Effective oral and written communication skills are required.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction) is required.
• Ability to handle stressful situations is required.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill customers' prescription needs with focus on accuracy.
• Administer vaccines as needed.
• Provide patient counseling and pharmaceutical care.
• Ensure pharmacies comply with local, state and federal laws (including HIPAA).
• Maintain professional image and adhere to pharmacy standards and dress codes.
• Achieve knowledge of the trade area, customers and competition.
• Create a positive pharmacy department image through service and friendliness.
• Monitor stock replenishment, inventory, policies, records, security and budgets.
• Maintain records and security on scheduled drugs (controlled substances).
• Follow procedures for handling pharmacy products from approved sources.
• Ensure accuracy tools and post-dispensing audits are used correctly.
• Maintain all record-keeping practices for compliance and reporting.
• Keep work area clean and present a professional image to customers.
• Ensure timely processing of product returns and policy compliance.
• Maintain and service all equipment and reference materials.
