Job summary

The Kroger Co. is hiring a Pharmacist to join our community pharmacy team. You will fulfill prescription needs, counsel patients, and administer vaccines while ensuring adherence to all legal and company standards.

Responsibilities include maintaining inventory, complying with HIPAA and safety regulations, and upholding a professional image. A state pharmacist license and PharmD degree are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy is required.
• Current state pharmacist licensure in good standing is required.
• Effective oral and written communication skills are essential.
• Knowledge of basic math and medication calculations is required.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Retail pharmacy experience is preferred.
• Second language ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill customers’ prescription needs with a focus on accuracy.
• Administer vaccines as needed.
• Provide patient counseling and pharmaceutical care to customers.
• Ensure pharmacies comply with local, state and federal laws (including HIPAA).
• Maintain professional image and adhere to company dress standards.
• Develop knowledge of the trade area, customers and competition.
• Promote a positive pharmacy image and service orientation with customers and vendors.
• Monitor stock replenishment, inventory levels, and policy adherence.
• Maintain records for scheduled drugs and ensure proper security and reporting.
• Follow procedures for handling pharmacy products from approved sources.
