Job summary

The Kroger Co. is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join our retail pharmacy team. You will fill prescriptions accurately, counsel patients, and administer vaccines while ensuring HIPAA compliance and a professional image in a fast-paced environment.

You will also monitor inventory, maintain records for legal reporting, and uphold company policies and standards to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (required).
• Current state pharmacist licensure in good standing.
• Effective oral/written communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Ability to handle stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill customers’ prescription needs while concentrating on accuracy.
• Administer vaccines as needed.
• Provide patient counseling and pharmaceutical care to customers.
• Ensure pharmacies comply with local, state and federal laws (HIPAA).
• Maintain professional image and comply with dress standards.
• Know your trade area, customers and competition.
• Create a positive pharmacy department image through service and cooperation.
• Monitor stock replenishment, inventory levels and budgets.
• Maintain records for legal compliance and reporting.
• Keep equipment and work area clean and organized.
• Ensure proper handling of scheduled drugs and security.
