Job summary

Polaris Pharmacy Services in Fort Lauderdale is seeking an Order Entry Technician to enter prescriptions and refills into our pharmacy system with speed and accuracy. You will support patient care by addressing questions, processing orders, and ensuring compliance with safety policies and HIPAA.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, state certification as a pharmacy tech, and at least one year of experience in long-term care pharmacy.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications required by state regulations.
• Minimum of one year working as a pharmacy technician (long-term care pharmacy preferred).

Responsibilities

• Enter new and refill prescriptions into the pharmacy system.
• Address and respond to customer inquiries and requests.
• Contribute to evaluation and continuous improvement of client services, policies, and procedures.
• Comply with safety, attendance, and dress code policies.
• Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA.
• Ensure safety policies and procedures are consistently adhered to and practiced.
• Other duties as assigned; job duties may vary by business needs.
