Job summary

Ascension Health is seeking a Pharmacy Supervisor to oversee daily operations in Austin, TX. You’ll schedule and assign work for pharmacy technicians and may perform their duties, while leading process improvements and ensuring regulatory compliance across departments.

In this role, you’ll hire, train, and evaluate staff, collaborate with physicians and external partners, and drive adherence to federal, state and Board of Pharmacy rules.

Qualifications

• Credential(s) required: Pharmacy Tech credentialed from NHA or PTCB prior to hire/date.
• Education requirements: HS diploma/equivalent with experience or an associate/technical degree with experience; or 5 years related experience.
• Experience leading or supervising pharmacy operations and technician teams is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and assigns daily work for pharmacy technicians and may perform their duties.
• Oversees process improvement activities.
• Liaises between department, hospital departments, physicians and external customers on pharmacy operations.
• Collaborates to ensure procedures meet regulatory rules and standards.
• Conducts hiring, training, directing, development and evaluation of staff.
