Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to lead pharmacy operations in Lebanon, Tennessee. The role requires ensuring safe medication use, immunizations, drug testing, and effective staff coaching. You will manage compounding, dispensing, and regulatory compliance while driving patient experience and financial performance.

Responsibilities include optimizing workflow, training staff, and collaborating with leadership to expand health and wellness services in the community.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D Degree from an accredited educational institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems and insurance billing.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients and answers questions regarding usage of medicine, side effects, interactions, contraindications, patient information privacy, generics, less expensive medicines, and over-the-counter products.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Reviews, interprets, and accurately dispenses prescribed medications, as required.
• Establishes procedures that promote the efficient workflow of the pharmacy including overseeing staff scheduling, assigning roles, coordinating activities, and seeking team input.
• Ensures insurance claims are processed accurately to prevent payment rejections and resolves patient issues with insurers and providers.
