Job summary

UCSF Health is seeking a Pharmacist leader to oversee all aspects of the medication use process, including procurement, dispensing, storage, and monitoring. The role partners with clinicians to optimize drug therapy and ensure regulatory compliance, education, and safe operations for patients and staff.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of retail pharmacy experience and 2 years in a management role, with California Pharmacist licensure and PharmD training.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates subject matter knowledge of industry best practices in specialty pharmacy. Stays updated on pharmacy regulations and standards.
• Knowledge of all pharmacy federal and state laws and regulations.
• Recent leadership experience with exposure to training and guiding employees on technical skills in specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Manages pharmacy operations to achieve quality, service, and productivity objectives.
• Ensures staff adheres to internal policy and external regulations for the medication use process.
• Leads and develops staff to improve quality and services and maintains cooperative relationships with peers and multidisciplinary teams.
