Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations, administrative activities, ensuring efficient workflow and a positive patient experience. Serve as a full-time certified pharmacy technician where allowed by law.
- Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions under pharmacist supervision. Supervise pharmacy technicians and cashiers within legal and company guidelines.
- Lead hiring, training, coaching, and performance management of pharmacy technicians. Make decisions regarding discipline and termination.
Customer Experience
- Engage customers and patients, resolve complaints, and assist with product and service inquiries to ensure a positive experience. Build strong relationships by anticipating needs and promoting healthcare services.
Operations
- Assist pharmacists with patient registration, prescription data entry, medication preparation, and healthcare services like vaccinations and screenings where permitted by law.
People & Performance Management
- Manage pharmacy technician performance, including hiring, onboarding, training, and scheduling. Ensure licensure and certification compliance.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintain PTCB certification, pursue ongoing education, and seek professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- PTCB or ExCPT certification (excluding Puerto Rico).
- At least one year of pharmacy technician experience in retail or hospital setting.
- Fluent in English reading, writing, and speaking (excluding Puerto Rico).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Previous leadership experience and Walgreens employment with exceeding expectations are preferred.
Salary range: $22.50 - $31.00 per hour, depending on factors such as location, skills, and experience.
